Celebrating life!

I wanted to get a few of these pictures up from my last shoot as this family is celebrating such a wonderful anniversary this week!  I had such a hard time picking just these three as Courtney took so many beautiful pictures!  I am having company today or else I would put a lot more up!  I can't wait for this family to see all the pictures of their daughter!  She truly was a doll to work with and was so very sweet!  I loved seeing her interact with paisley with I was photographing her!  It was my first time being on the ground trying to get the best vertical shot of C and then I had dogie lick me on my eye and arm, haha it was so funny!!  I wish someone had a camera taking a picture of that!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life!  It truly is a blessing!

Before and After

Ok, so here it is!  I am going to be re branding myself!  I am going to be coming out with a new look in the very  near future!  New name, new website, you name it and I am changing it up!  I have received some really great advice from my mentor who started me down this path and am I going forward with her recommendations!  Working with a graphic designer on my new logo, deciding which look I want for my website and working on how to clean up my blog with my new name!  I am so very excited with purchasing my new equipment and attending a weekend workshop in Chicago for my new launch to be such a success!  I am currently working with close to a dozen local photographers on starting our own network group to continue strengthening our businesses with support from each other!  We are looking to meet in June for our first meeting! I am so excited about all the new great things in the future!

I am upgrading my equipment!

I am really excited to announce that I have upgraded my photography equipment!  With the continued support of my husband, I finally made the leap of faith to upgrade my equipment.  With this I plan to see my work go to the next level both creatively and with my clarity of my images.  I can't wait for my upcoming shoots to experience this with me!  I took a few shots of my kiddos today and thought I would share these!  I did no editing and am showing them as they just came off my camera.

My First Wedding!

This was my officially first paid wedding and I had a very nice time shooting it.  The wedding was small and intimate.  I felt comfortable meeting with the family and taking the photographs.  Even though my true passion is children and family portraits, I really did enjoy this assignment! I am getting caught up on my blogging as I have been a little behind due to many photo sessions lately.  I try to keep my Facebook up to date with at least quick sneak peaks, so if you have not liked my facebook,  I recommend doing so at Crystal Rose Photos. 

I am really excited to announce I am going to Chicago this summer to take a workshop from a wonderful photographer and can't wait to share all that I learn with my clients!  I am also updated my gear in the next week and am really exciting to begin shooting with better quality camera gear!  Please stay on the look out for some new looks for my business and maybe even a new name!!! So much more to come.

Sibling Sweetness!

These siblings are just so darn cute!  From the matching jackets, to the beautiful eyes, to the bond of twins!  I just love these!

Birthday Time!

I had the most amazing time at this birthday celebration!  I was so excited when I was asked to photograph this party!  80 years of life being celebrated with so many people!  The birthday girl looked ravishing in her pink attire all dolled up for a wonderful party at Mansion View an old historic B & B in The Old West End!  Just loved the setting and all the people who attended.  Many thanks to Craig and Kory for thinking of me to share such a wonderful occasion!
